Ms. Common shares to us her opinion on the oncoming campus recruiting at Woodside and her opinion on the armed forces. According to Ms. Common, recruiting is required and is expanding because of the more frequent need of military personal. She states that it is not her decision to keep the recruiters on campus but it is the district's. Although she disagrees with high schoolers being shipped out right after high school, she voices her opinion that the armed forces are great programs to get involved in. Ms. Common thinks that graduating high school students should at least get some experience before joining such a commitment. She also thinks that when the time comes for a lottery, that many people subject to the draft would protest. Concluding, recruiters are on campus even though some people are against high school students being influenced by them.
